Areas of Practice
Emily’s legal practice includes both solicitor and civil litigation work, focusing on land-related matters. She has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia.
Emily advises and represents clients in real estate transactions, including related disputes; title and correlating charge matters; foreclosure proceedings, including agency work; builders lien issues; title insurance claims; and neighbour disputes, regarding land use and development issues. Emily also practices in the area of employment law, working with both employees and employers.
Work History and Education
Emily serves as the secretary of the CBABC Victoria Young Lawyers Executive, she is a volunteer supervising lawyer with Pro-Bono Students Canada, and she is a board member of the registered charity Ready-to-Rent. Emily holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from Queen's University (2010) and a law degree from the University of Victoria (2014).
Emily grew up in Victoria, attending Glenlyon Norfolk School, and is happy to continue to call this beautiful city home. She is an avid health enthusiast who enjoys cycling and playing golf.
